Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Dr. Moses Auta, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari values his cows more than the lives of Nigerians.
He also accused the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of not doing enough to curb the killing and abduction of innocent souls across the country.
“Imagine,
2 precious people were cooked in Sokoto by bandits. Hours after the incident, the president visited Lagos where he commissioned some ships built exclusively by Nigerian Naval Engineers.
“From there, Buhari attended a book launch where he was a special guest at the launch of the book “My Contributions”, a biography of the former caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bisi Akande.
“As the president of the country, as soon as your house is on fire, you look for ways to put out the fire. “These
2 roasted people have the same life as him and equally his children. But he released the dead without visiting the state much less commiserating with the bereaved family just because his media issued a press release expressing grief over the killing of Buhari when they. realized their mistake had happened,” he said.
He wondered why the bandits seem to have power over the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and even local guards.
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, is shocked by the increasing number of killings in the country; and Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI led by Sokoto Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar 111 yesterday lamented that Nigerians are now being slaughtered like chickens.
They also urged the federal government to do more to stop the deadly trend beyond condemning the killings. CAN and JNI spoke on the day bandits killed 16 people at a mosque in Nigeria state.
Condemning the killing of 23 innocent travelers by terrorists in Sokoto state and many other attacks on citizens by criminals, CAN said the killings further showed how human life is cheaper than chicken life in Nigeria.
In a statement, Pastor John Joseph Hayab, Vice President of 19 Northern States and CAN, Abuja, said the religious body was worried that “terrorists have taken their crimes against Nigerians too far” and called on the Federal Government and governors. The Northern States, especially the North-West, act for vigorous measures to put an end to this constant evil.
