Regarding the report on the calamitous death of the Dowen College student by name Sylvester Oromoni (jr.), the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Major General Muhammadu Buhari finally agreed to talk about the horrible killing of this little boy.
On report of exposé from various sources which claimed the little boy who was forced to join cult but refused triggered the aggression from the students who beat him up to the point of death has led The President to condemning bullying in schools.
He also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased.
In his words he said, “I share the anger and grief up and down the country following this incident. On behalf of my family and I, and the government of the federation, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the Oromoni family, the government and the people of Lagos State and give the firm assurance that this incident will be thoroughly investigated and the appropriate punishment meted out to all those who are culpable.”
The President expressed his intolerance for bullying and other forms of school oppression. he further said that the perpetrators of this evil scenario will not be spared.
The management of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos State shared investigation has been ongoing since the report of the boy’s illness which led to his death reached their table.
